Yin Yoga for Digestive Health

Thank you for joining me for this 35 minute yin yoga practise. Please make sure to only do this practise if you have not eaten in the last few hours. We do not want to disturb our digestion, rather work to wring or squeeze the organs of digestion while they are empty.

We start by taking Yoni mudra bringing our awareness to our belly where our digestive organs live. We gently massage our bellies in a clockwise direction to bring warmth and to encourage the natural movement of elimination of wastes in our colon.

We then take the following poses to provide a twisting action to our torso which will support a squeezing and releasing action for our liver, kidney, colon, intestines, stomach and pancreas.

Poses include:
Deer
Square
Half butterfly
Supine twist
